Alina noted that a lot of information about communication can be found on the Internet, and on YouTube in particular. One of the most interesting webinars, according to the expert, is «Effective communication in the team». She explained that it will be especially useful for all managers, HR specialists and professionals who have ambitions to develop.

But first of all, the HR specialist advises everyone to deepen their knowledge of psychology and develop emotional intelligence. After all, in the modern world, this knowledge is no longer just a useful addition, but a necessity.

«Understanding different types of people, their behavior, and methods of achieving goals will allow you to find the “key” to everyone. And thanks to your developed emotional intelligence, you will not miss important details that can reveal a new person to you: a colleague, partner, etc.,» Alina explained.

She added that if a manager wants to be not just someone who sets and checks tasks, but also a leader, he or she must build relationships with everyone with whom he or she interacts on a daily basis.

 «Emotional intelligence will help you out when you don’t know something because you will know who you can turn to for advice or help. At the university they say: “First you work for your grades, then they work for you.” In work, it works like this: first you build relationships, and then they help you,» said the IT specialist.

So, to learn more about emotional intelligence and human psychology, Alina recommends two must-read books:

  • «Emotional intelligence of the leader», Daniel Goleman;
  • «The Games People Play», Eric Berne.
