The Department of Digital Transformation of Kharkiv City Council has announced a tender for the development of a mobile application «Kharkiv Citizen Card».
This was reported by the Kharkiv Anti-Corruption Center, referring to the relevant tender for website Prozorro.
It is about creating a digital «Kharkiv citizen card» that will work through a mobile application. The software is to be purchased with the transfer of exclusive rights to own, use and dispose of it.
It is worth noting that in Kharkiv, starting in 2022, public transportation will be free of charge.
At the end of 2023, the City Council highlighted UAH 1.2 billion from its budget for this purpose.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov spoke about the creation of a digital«Kharkiv citizen card in January. We quote in the original language.
«I really want the “Kharkiv citizen’s card” to be everything, including a bank card, and it will be possible to use the “Kharkiv citizen’s card” for all discounts and everything. But I mean, I am developing a completely different model now, you will get this one, but you will be able to download it to your phone and it will be even more convenient for you,” Terekhov said, according to the Infocity.
The winner of the tender will have to create a mobile application, upload it to the Apple Store and Google Play, and transfer all rights to it to the city council.

The works must be completed by August 31, 2024. The auction itself is scheduled for April 19.
Currently, more than 450,000 residents of the city are holders of the «Kharkiv citizen» card.
