UAF has a women’s UAV unit — and it is already possible to pass a competitive selection

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have a women’s UAV unit. A competitive selection process for this unit is already underway.

This was reported by a public figure, now a soldier, Ihor Lutsenko.

This is a small volunteer unit that will be working on unmanned aerial systems in close integration with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Requirements

The unit requires working with (relatively) complex systems, which requires technical literacy, care and accuracy, basic engineering skills, and creative tactical thinking.

• Knowledge and experience in piloting, operating, repairing, maintaining UAVs or similar systems will be a plus.
• Military skills, from sapper to medic to rifleman, will be useful.
• Experience in programming, working in technical specialties (electronics, radio, etc.) will also be a plus.

How to apply

To be selected, you must fill out the questionnaire.

There will be such stages:

• competitive selection;
• determining the extent to which candidates are capable of performing combat missions within the unit;
• training, but it is also a way of selection;
• of the SBU inspection;
• then — the final decision on enrollment in the unit.

Men who want to serve in the military and work with UAVs can submit their data in the same questionnaire.
