The big premiere took place: after a teaser with a release window leaked by IGN journalists in the morning, Warhorse announced its new game, which turned out to be Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (What a surprise!). Yes, we welcome all fans of the original «kami» 2018, which finally got a sequel. According to its announcement, the game should be released by the end of 2024.
The entire show lasted just under 14 minutes, including comments from the actors and developers. The game is being developed on the CryEngine engine. It is a direct continuation of the adventures of Jindřich or Indro or Henry from Skelice. We were shown a spectacular cinematic trailer that begins with an introductory live-action scene that introduces the main characters of the game — the matured Henry, played by actor Tom McKay, and his faithful squire Sir Hans, played by Luke Dale. The developers immediately emphasized that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, whose development started 6 years ago, actually embodies what the original game should have become if the developers had enough resources to implement all the ideas.
Official genre — action-RPG in a realistic open world of medieval Europe. The game takes place in the midst of the chaos of the civil war in Bohemia in the 15th century, and the epicenter of the new installment will be the town of Kutna Gora, which emerged in the twelfth century as a settlement of the Sedlec Cistercian Monastery. In the story, Henry, who barely survived a raid on his native village by a raiding party, embarks on a path of revenge for the murder of his parents. The new part reveals in detail the story of his transition from an inspired warrior to a rebel who stands against King Sigismund the Red Fox of Hungary and his sinister allies.
The developers promise to keep their trademark meticulous approach to characters and story. The video showed numerous fragments of cutscenes that allow you to appreciate the atmosphere and aesthetics, but without live gameplay. The game world in the second part is twice as big as in the first one, and there are five hours of “grand” cutscenes compared to three in the original. The combat has been significantly redesigned to include a variety of historically accurate weapons (swords, rifles, and crossbows can be seen in the video). Players will also be able to choose between different combat styles, attacking enemies while snoring, on horseback, or sneaking. The sequel will also feature a reputation system, and the player’s actions affect the fate of the characters and the development of the story.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is scheduled for release in 2024 — the sequel to Henry’s adventures will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game already has pages in SteamandEpic Games Storebut they are half empty. Steam, for example, currently has no information about localization into other languages (except English), but the text on the images is translated into Ukrainian.
