FIFINE AmpliGame D6 comes in a compact purple box with the pattern of the controller itself.
Inside we see the device itself, documentation, and a 2.5-meter USB-C to USB-A cable with a USB-C adapter.
FIFINE AmpliGame D6 is a small box made of matte plastic, and its body is at a slight angle. The dimensions of the model are 137×94×40 mm, and it weighs 350 grams.
On the top panel, we see the AmpliGame inscription on 15 glossy buttons with colored LED screens.
Below, there is a strip with RGB backlighting all over the controller body.
On the back of FIFINE AmpliGame D6 we can see a USB-C port for powering the device and a button for switching backlight modes. There is also a FIFINE inscription in the corner.
The bottom of the controller has four rubberized feet and a plate with information about the device.
The most important feature of the FIFINE AmpliGame D6 — 15 customizable buttons with mini-displays. Each of them can be used to place an image, text, etc., assign a specific task, program, template launch, picture, etc.
First of all, FIFINE AmpliGame D6 is designed to help you conduct streams. The buttons can be used to display various commands related to launching and controlling OBS Studio, Twitch, or YouTube streams. But despite this, we have many different plug-in tools for many popular programs. For example, you can display system information about the status of RAM or ROM, the remaining disk space, determine the IP, go to a specific website or YouTube channel, and control the RGB lighting system of a table or room. If they are connected to the same PC. And so on. In fact, the possible variations and functions of the controller are limited only by the user’s imagination.
The FIFINE AmpliGame D6 will also help you monitor the number of subscribers. It has a wide range of functionality to help you work with Excel, Adobe Lightromm, Adobe Audition Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, and many other popular applications.
Of course, after such a list of functions, a logical question arises: «How do you control all this and how do you work with it all on just 15 available buttons?» It’s actually very simple. You can create many different sets of screens here. For example, the first one will be used for system monitoring, quick access to the necessary sites, etc. On the last free screen, you assign a transition button that switches to a new set of commands, or you can also call it a second «page» or a second set of keys. And here you create something new, for example, commands for working with OBS Studio, etc.
Alternatively, you can create buttons with folders, and place a specific set of commands for a particular task in these folders. Thus, on one «page» there will be many thematic folders with the widest range of tools and programs, functions, etc.
It’s also cool that almost every basic icon for a particular function can be replaced with a picture from a game, meme, etc. The main thing is to download the appropriate set in the branded plugin store, which will be discussed in the section below.
And a few words about the RGB backlight. It is actually mandatory here and has 15 modes. You can switch between modes with a physical button on the back of the case, and the backlight is turned off by holding the button for 2 seconds.
FIFINE AmpliGame D6 has proprietary software of the same name. However, it is very simple, so it resembles a lightweight utility rather than full-fledged software, so someone may not like its simplicity and minimalism. Nevertheless, the program performs its function.
The main screen allows you to create scenes and place programs, macros, actions, etc. on them. The panel on the right has ready-made, basic functions that can be installed on screens. These are various useful utilities such as measuring Internet speed, determining IP, RAM and ROM indicators, launching a specific site, etc.
On the left, we see different scenes or «pages» that can be created. There is also a button above that opens the built-in store of utilities and add-ons for the console. Of course, the «store» is just a name, because they are all free. There are a wide variety of plugins for many programs, icon packs, etc. After downloading them, they appear on the main screen, in the menu on the right.
I should also note that sometimes the store is glitchy and does not load certain plugins the first time. Sometimes it helps to simply press the «Install» button again, but sometimes I had to restart the program because otherwise it was impossible to do anything. In other words, the proprietary software has some minor glitches.
The FIFINE AmpliGame D6 console needs to be looked at more closely. The thing is that on the one hand, I really liked it, but on the other hand I didn’t. Therefore, I will explain each point separately and remind you that I am sharing my observations, opinions, and impressions, which may differ from yours.
I liked the device for its simplicity and simultaneous multifunctionality. This plastic box with a backlight and 15 screens can greatly simplify the life of a computer user, video editor, gamer, game streamer, blogger, etc. If you have imagination and a certain mindset, you can assign a bunch of tasks and commands to the buttons, simplify certain processes, get rid of a lot of routine, and generally make life easier. But the phrase «With imagination and fantasy and a certain mindset» is where the main nuance lies.
For FIFINE AmpliGame D6 to pay for itself and be useful to you at all, you need to have a certain kind of «thinking», with which you will figure out how to simplify your life. Where and which plugin to put, what to install, on which program, how to use it, and so on. Not everyone will want to do this, and not everyone will be able to use the console to its fullest, not just put something on the first main screen and let it stand there for beauty.
This gadget can really become one of the best assistants to a PC user and not only, but you also need to get used to it. And here’s the downside. Even if you install plug-ins and create pages for different programs and tasks, you still need to get used to using it all. Pressing a button on the console, not on the keyboard, for example, if you use Adobe Premiere Pro or any other program.
For example, in my case, it took me a few days to get more or less used to shutting down my laptop through the console and launching certain programs because it’s really faster. However, I had one habit of doing it, and now I need to do it differently. Yes, it’s easier, but you have a habit of doing other things. And so it is with all simplification processes. You will need to create new habits to replace the old ones, and it will take some time. And you will have to learn to use some programs, such as Adobe Lightroom, literally from scratch. Yes, FIFINE AmpliGame D6 will make life much easier, but in the future. And at first, it will complicate it in some ways, and you need to be prepared for this.
FIFINE AmpliGame D6 is sold at the price of UAH 4999. Some people may find it strange to pay such money for such a gadget, and I understand them, but in its segment, this is an adequate price.
Although some would say that the most important competitor, Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 costs from 6300 UAH and is not much pricier, and there is also an advanced version Elgato Stream Deck + with additional wheels for 10,500 hryvnias. Others will say that a few thousand makes a big difference because it’s half the price. There is also a more affordable controller on the market A-Jazz AKP153 for 3850 hryvnias, but there is very little information about it, so it is difficult to evaluate the functionality without tests.
