ITC.ua has already reviewed affordable secure watches Gelius Tactical Navy. At the time, I liked it a lot, of course, for its price, but I wanted an AMOLED screen, and there was an IPS one. And now the Ukrainian brand Gelius has released a new budget watch, the Amazwatch GT3 (GP-SW010), with an AMOLED display. I’ve already tested it for more than enough time and now I’m ready to share my impressions.

Gelius Amazwatch GT3 comes in a small white box.
Inside we have the watch itself, a screen protector, a set of wipes, documentation, a USB cable with magnetic charging, and an additional 22 mm interchangeable strap.
The Gelius Amazwatch GT3 has a classic round design and a size of 47 mm. The case is metal, but the back is plastic, and the front has a protective glass.
The screen is convex and protrudes strongly above the body. Because of this, scratches may appear on it over time, so I advise you to immediately stick the supplied film.
On the left side of the smartwatch there is a speaker, and on the right side there is a physical wheel-button, another button, and a microphone. On the bottom, we can see various sensors and sensors that measure body indicators, as well as contacts for magnetic charging.
The Gelius Amazwatch GT3 comes with the common 22 mm straps. If you don’t like the two bundled with double trenches, you can easily replace them with other ones because there are plenty of 22 mm models. But in general, the two available ones will probably be enough for a long time.
The smartwatch looks stylish and reminds me of the Samsung Galaxy Watch series. Especially with the active digital mode of the AOD function. The design of the model is universal and, depending on the color, will suit men and women, as well as teenagers.
Gelius Amazwatch GT3 is equipped with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. The pixel density is 326 ppi.
The screen is the strong point of the watch. It has rich, vibrant colors and adequate pixel density. At certain angles and in some usage scenarios, you can see these same pixels on the screen, but for the most part they are not visible, and the detail is good. Text, such as notifications, is readable without problems, icons look good, various menus, etc.
In my opinion, AMOLED is the best choice for modern smartwatches. IPS hasn’t been suitable for this segment for a long time, and as we can see, even in budget models it is now possible, and their quality is not perfect, but it is definitely adequate.
Gelius Amazwatch GT3 is powered by an SF562 processor. The built-in memory is 8 MB + 128 MB. The modules include Bluetooth 5.2, as well as the AGPS function (the GPS module of the smartphone is used).
The model does not have a full-fledged operating system, so it is actually a fitness watch. However, it has full IP68 protection. This means that you can not only wash your hands with the watch, but also take a shower or swim without any problems.
The Gelius Amazwatch GT3 can receive calls, and most importantly, you can turn this feature off if you wish. If it is active, you can not only accept or reject calls, talk, but also dial a number and select contacts from the list of separately added numbers.
Separately, you can output the ringtone and other sounds from your phone through the watch’s speaker. When you activate this feature, the ringtone will sound immediately on your smartphone. Which is cool. But along with it, literally all the sound from the phone is output to the watch’s speaker: from watching a video on YouTube, from TikTok, etc. So think twice about whether you need it, but it’s good that you can turn this mode off in the settings.
The available speaker is loud enough, but a little raspy, which is normal because such speakers rattle even in much more expensive models. The main thing is that you can hear the other person well, and they can hear you. Yes, the sound will be a bit like a barrel from both sides, but you can communicate without any problems.
You can read messages or app notifications through the Gelius Amazwatch GT3 screen, but you can’t reply, not even with templates. The watch also allows you to control the music on your smartphone, the camera, search for your phone by sound, and more.
Gelius Amazwatch GT3 also has a useful Always On Display feature. You can simply turn it on or off, but you can’t set it to work at certain hours or to show the time for the first seconds after the screen is turned off. The existing watch faces do not have their own display modes for AOD. There are only two of them: digital clock or analog clock.
Gelius Amazwatch GT3 is controlled by physical buttons and swipes. Turns off the button spinner quickly change the existing watch face style, which is very convenient. But sometimes, especially when wearing long-sleeved clothes, they can switch on their own. Pressing the wheel returns to the main screen from any menu section or activates the screen if it is turned off. The button below opens the sports mode menu.
Swiping from the bottom up opens the notification menu. Swiping from top to bottom opens a shortcut curtain to various functions. There are settings, «Do Not Disturb» mode, flashlight, power saving, battery status, date and time, connection status with a smartphone, etc.
Swipe from right to left to access widgets. Their location and number change right there. Swiping from left to right opens the main menu of the main applications. You can also change the style of the watch face by long-pressing it on the home screen.
Like other Gelius smartwatches, the Amazwatch GT3 works with the Da Fit app. The watch is equipped with a Bluetooth 5.2 module and connects to a smartphone rapidly. It is enough to activate GPS and Bluetooth on the phone, go to the app, and it will immediately detect the watch nearby. In this case, it is the GP-SW010 model.
I have already told you more about Da Fit and its capabilities in the review of the Gelius Tactical Navy watch. In general, this is a popular, convenient, and easy-to-use application that is also used by other manufacturers. As usual, there is a section with basic data on sleep, physical activity, HR, SpO2, blood pressure, etc.
The Gelius Amazwatch GT3 has a sensor that measures heart rate, analyzes sleep, can determine blood oxygen saturation, and even measures blood pressure. The latter is done through mathematical calculations and is for informational purposes only.
I have a real blood pressure monitor at home and compared the measurements with it. The difference between the readings of the watch and the tonometer is 10-20% in different directions. Sometimes it showed more, sometimes less, but the difference seems to be not that big, but why and how it sometimes gives more and sometimes less I did not understand.
I expected a bigger gap. Probably, for a healthy person, this can be used, but if you have hypertension or something like that, you definitely can’t rely on the calculations of the watch because it becomes very important.
The Gelius Amazwatch GT3 has 100 sports modes, but all of them are activated only by hand. You can record your jogging route, for example, but this happens through the GPS module of your smartphone. But the heart rate, steps, etc. come from the watch.
The disadvantage of the Gelius Amazwatch GT3 is its relative error when measuring steps. Probably, this is normal for a budget model, but keep in mind that it «lies» upwards by 10-15%. The same Gelius Tactical Navy also had a similar error, but in a smaller way. As always, I compared it with Amazfit GTS 2 and Amazfit Neo.
In general, I note that this drawback is insignificant because it is present even in expensive models. For example, it was in the Samsung Galaxy Watch6. But it is there, and I have to tell you about it so that you can subtract 10-15% from the indicator and know more accurate figures.
Gelius Amazwatch GT3 has a 300 mAh battery. The manufacturer promises up to 14 days of standby time and up to a week in standard mode.
The actual figures are similar. Without AOD, with the screen brightness at 70%, with all automatic measurement functions active, with connection to a smartphone and the watch talk function active, the battery lasts six days. If you turn off the watch talk feature, you get exactly one week. If you activate Always On Display in the first version, then one charge lasts for three days, and in the second — for four days. It takes 1 hour and 50 minutes to fully charge the watch.
In the segment of budget smartwatches, Gelius Amazwatch GT3 turned out to be one of the best models for me. Yes, not everything is perfect with the measurements, but this is normal, and sometimes you can see pixels on the screen, but the most important thing is that it is not IPS, but AMOLED. And for this I forgive everything, but there is almost nothing to forgive.
I like the design of the watch. It’s stylish, it’s versatile, it will suit users of different ages, for different needs, for different clothes and styles. This is important. However, even with the film on it, which leaves the edges of the screen exposed, it will scratch over time. The film is also vulnerable to chips and bruises because it literally sticks out on the case and is not protected by anything. This is the price of style.
I was impressed by the extended package, where the user is taken care of right away: not only a film, but also an additional strap that changes the overall look of the watch.
I also liked the digital dial in AOD mode, the normal impressions of the menu convenience, the quality of sleep and heart rate measurement. Probably the weakest point of the watch is its Da Fit app. I mean, it’s okay, everything works, but it’s very simple, even ascetic, which some users may not like, and they will be right.
The standard level of vibration on notifications was not enough for me, so I set it to the maximum. But even here I’m average in the same Gelius Tactical Navy. So keep in mind that the vibration motor here is mediocre, and you need to set it to maximum strength so that you «hear» notifications».
Gelius Amazwatch GT3 is sold at a price from 1600 UAH. But in many large networks, their price tag is 2499 UAH. In my opinion, both price tags are very adequate, and in general, the watch has an excellent price/performance ratio.
However, the model has some good competitors, but not too many. For example, Haylou RS5 or Redmi Watch 3 Active. There are also Samsung Galaxy Fit3, but it is a pure fitness tracker. Of the round popular models, there are also Amazfit Pop 3R. And let’s not forget about Gelius Tactical Navy, if you want something else protected and the screen doesn’t matter.
