And now let’s talk about Govee Smart Gaming Light Bars RGB (H6047) — a set of lights to create an atmosphere on your desktop, near the TV, etc. This device consumes very little power, which is important nowadays, but it shines brightly and improves the experience of gaming, watching movies, TV shows, and YouTube videos. Let’s take a look at its capabilities, talk about the app, and talk about the user experience and relevance of using it.

Inside we can see two light sticks with USB-C cables, a pair of round legs for them, a Govee Smart Dial desktop controller, a cable with a 3.5 mm audio jack, a power supply, a screwdriver and screws, as well as instructions and documentation.

The lamps have round legs and a stylized letter G on the outside of the body, which also glows. They have rounded corners, smooth lines and a relatively neutral but modern design that will suit any space, room, etc.
The Govee Smart Dial desk remote is made entirely of matte plastic. It has sharp corners and a large «spinner» in the middle, as well as four buttons. They are responsible for switching off/on, changing light modes, brightness, and synchronization with music.
Govee Smart Gaming Light Bars RGB is equipped with RGBIC technology. It allows you to create your own lighting scenarios, add lighting effects, etc. The luminaires support a color palette of 16.8 million shades, their glow is bright and saturated, and most importantly, they illuminate a large area of the wall into which they shine.
The device responds to voice commands, as it is compatible with the Alexa and Google Assistant platforms. The backlight set is also equipped with the Govee Smart Dial desktop remote control, which helps to control the lighting. It allows you to change lighting scenarios, combine it with music on your PC, laptop, or through headphones to shine to its rhythm. You can also play with the modes and brightness.
Govee Smart Gaming Light Bars RGB plugs into a wall outlet and can also be connected to a PC or laptop. But the latter is not necessary if you would rather not synchronize the lighting with the music.
The lamp also works with the Govee Home app. This is a modern, user-friendly software that allows you to control the device via your smartphone. There is a choice of different lighting modes, a color laboratory where you can customize the desired color for both «sticks» or for each one separately, run lighting scenarios, turn on the timer, play with brightness, etc.
If the remote control has a large but limited functionality, then through Govee Home the user gets the full range of features that the lamps have. It’s also important that everything is clear enough, and you don’t need to spend a lot of time navigating the menu to figure out what, where, and how.
The main task of Govee Smart Gaming Light Bars RGB is to create the right atmosphere for gaming, watching TV shows, movies, etc. And the device copes with this task. Such lighting really creates an interesting atmosphere, adding additional visual gags to the experience of a game or movie.
The lighting itself is not that bright because the filling with light in practice is not as effective as on advertising posters. But the main thing here is not to lean these «sticks» too close to the wall, but to move them 10-15 cm away, and then the effect will be as atmospheric as possible and similar to what is shown in the pictures.
The app is really user-friendly and intuitive. There are so many different lighting scenarios that you can play around with for a few weeks and not use them all. I like that you can customize the lighting of each «stick» separately.
I would like to mention the package because they included not only everything you need, but also thought about a screwdriver. Also, all the elements are individually packed in cardboard boxes, and everything looks good.
Dust collects easily on the lamps, but it is not visible, so it is easy to take care of them. But it’s much more visible on the control panel, so you’ll have to wipe it off much more often.
Govee Smart Gaming Light Bars RGB is sold for 4099 hryvnias. In my opinion, this is an adequate price for such a set, and there are almost no other options. Theoretically, I know of many similar lamps, but there are very few of these items for sale in Ukraine. If you know more, please write the models and manufacturers in the comments.
From what I have found, I will highlight other similar solutions from Govee. These are Govee H6601 HDMI AI Gaming Kit RGB. In addition to two «sticks», it includes an RGB strip and a docking station with built-in AI, which allows you to immerse yourself in the game even more and connect several gaming devices to the lighting at the same time. If you need something simpler and smaller, there are Govee H6056 RGBICWW WiFi + Bluetooth Flow Plus Light Bars RGB with a price tag of UAH 2699. There are also Philips Hue Signe with a price tag of 11,790 hryvnias, but this is for one «stick». So, for symmetry’s sake, double the price tag.
