A gruesome incident has shaken the cryptocurrency community after 23-year-old trader Arnold Robert Haro accidentally shot himself during a live broadcast on the X platform. The incident happened on February 22 when the young man decided to promote own token using Russian roulette. It is not known whether all the details that are written online are true. But according to rumors, a crypto trader known by the pseudonyms Im really poor and MistaFuccYou allegedly lost his last $500 due to a memcoin fraud on the Solana blockchain. Which, unfortunately, has become normal over the past few months.
Arnold started the broadcast, loaded his revolver with a single bullet at the camera, and addressed the audience with a chilling request: «If I die, make me a meme». The weapon misfired twice, but fired the third time. The live broadcast lasted over 30 minutes, capturing all the horrific consequences.
The first question is: what was the guy thinking when he did this? Mental health is very important. Judging by Arnold’s posts, he was addicted to illegal substances and suffered from dysmorphophobia (he removed the mirror from the bathroom to avoid seeing himself). As for the crypto community: why didn’t they stop the trader at the very beginning? And why, if within minutes of the tragedy, memes with the name of the deceased guy flooded platforms such as Pump.fun. Some traders rushed to capitalize on the hype, while others condemned the move as exploitative and immoral.
«the memcoin community — is pure evil. A guy named MistaFuccYou went live on X/Twitter to play Russian roulette just to pump up the coin, and unfortunately, he passed away», — wrote one user in X.
Posts on X and Reddit indicate that in addition to mental health issues, Arnold was going through a recent relationship breakup. Perhaps the loss of money was the last straw. But people are more inclined to think that it was an unfortunate accident, even though the guy flirted with death. Reports indicate that MistaFuccYou asked in advance to create a memecoin with his name on it, and the developer sent him 70% of the tokens.
The creation of Mistacoin and similar tokens has caused outrage. Critics argue that this is an example of callous disregard for human life, while defenders point out that the trader himself asked for it.
Meanwhile Kanye West, aka Ye, has announced a coin called Swasticoin, which will be launched this week.
