Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which has been available on PC since yesterday, looked surprisingly productive with announcement of system requirements — However, the port developed by Nixxes has received mixed reviews on Steam from the start, mainly due to technical issues.
«Despite having a high-end GPU and running the latest Nvidia drivers (5.66.36), the game crashes frequently», — writes one user with an RTX 4090. While another adds: «The game is absolutely unrealistic for a PC. It crashes every five minutes. I have already submitted a refund request».
At the time of writing, about 54% of the total of about 2000 reviews for Spider-Man 2 on Steam were positive.

The main problem, judging by the reviews, is that the game’s graphical controller often crashes, even for users with higher-end PCs. According to one player, the description of the error sounds like this:
«There is a problem with the display driver. This can be caused by outdated drivers, using higher game settings than your GPU can handle, overheating of the GPU, or a bug in the game. Please try updating your graphics card drivers or updating your settings».
There are also complaints that features such as DLSS and ray tracing do not work properly, as well as long loading times.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 — is the third game in the series from Insomniac Games, which was released in October 2023 exclusively on PS5 and received quite good reviews. In the PC version, the game received additional graphics settings, unlocked frame rates, as well as support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XeSS and improved ray tracing. Support for ultra-wide monitors with aspect ratios up to 48:9 is also available. The game costs from 1700 to 2000 UAH on Steam.
