Процесор AMD Ryzen в слоті AM4
AMD has quietly added 6 new processors to its Ryzen 5000G series aimed at budget consumers. These chips are designed for older motherboards with the AM4 socket.
Recently, a Reddit user posted that he had noticed changes in the list of AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors. AMD quietly added the new Ryzen 5705G, 5705GE, 5605G, 5605GE, 5305G, and 5305GE models.
This has caused some confusion as AMD has not issued any press release to highlight this change. Moreover, AMD has already used the name 5000G for older processorswhich initially led users to believe that it was a printing error on AMD’s part.
However, if you click on any of the new processors, you will be redirected to the specification page for each of the new models. An interesting fact is that if you search for model numbers individually, you get to a page with a 404 error. AMD probably hasn’t updated the pages yet.
So, the new 5000G series, codenamed Cezanne, is real, offering variants for the Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, and Ryzen 7 families. These chips are designed for the AM4 socket and feature integrated Radeon Vega graphics. They support PCIe 3.0 and DDR4 memory, making them suitable for budget users.
The new Ryzen 7 5705G and 5705GE have 8 compute cores and support 16 threads, and operate at clock speeds up to 4.6 GHz.
Ryzen 5 5605G and 5605GE are 6-core, 12-thread processors that reach a clock speed of 4.4 GHz.
Finally, the Ryzen 3 5305G and 5305GE offer 4 cores and 8 threads, and have clock speeds up to 4.2 GHz.
In all cases, the GE version is optimized for power efficiency with a TDP of 35W, while the G model has a TDP of 65W.
Model | CPU cores | Flows | Boost frequency | Base frequency | GPU cores | TDP |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
AMD Ryzen 7 5705GE | 8 | 16 | Up to 4.6 GHz | 3.2 GHz | 8 | 35 W |
AMD Ryzen 7 5705G | 8 | 16 | Up to 4.6 GHz | 3.8 GHz | 8 | 65 W |
AMD Ryzen 5 5605GE | 6 | 12 | Up to 4.4 GHz | 3.4 GHz | 7 | 35 W |
AMD Ryzen 5 5605G | 6 | 12 | Up to 4.4 GHz | 3.9 GHz | 7 | 65 W |
AMD Ryzen 3 5305GE | 4 | 8 | Up to 4.2 GHz | 3.6 GHz | 6 | 35 W |
AMD Ryzen 3 5305G | 4 | 8 | Up to 4.2 GHz | 4.0 GHz | 6 | 65 W |
Interestingly, these new processors share characteristics with existing Ryzen 5000G series models, such as Ryzen 3 5300G, Ryzen 5 5600G, and Ryzen 7 5700G.
AMD has not specified pricing and retail availability for these new chips. However, it is clear that these will be affordable devices. These new processors do not come with cooling systems included.
AMD probably kept silent about this update because the new 5000G processors are designed for the older AM4 socket, while their latest releases are equipped with the AM5 socket. However, this is not a bad thing as it will allow users with older systems to upgrade their processors without having to buy a new motherboard.
Most likely, AMD will still make an announcement about the new 5000G series of processors in the coming days, and we will also find out about pricing and availability.
