The Fallout series, which has just recently been released on Amazon Prime Video, has already received a second season extension. This announcement came shortly after it was reported that the second season was to receive $25 million in tax breaks due to the transfer of filming to the state of California.

«Kudos to our incredibly brilliant showrunners, Geneva and Graham, our amazing cast, Todd and James and all the Bethesda legends, and to Jen, Vernon and the amazing team at Amazon for their incredible support of this series. We can’t wait to blow up the world again,” said executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.

The Fallout series is based on the video game franchise of the same name. It is set 200 years after the nuclear apocalypse. It tells the story of the «meek inhabitants of luxurious radiation shelters who are forced to return to the irradiated hell left by their ancestors and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, joyfully strange and extremely cruel universe waiting for them».

According to Amazon, Fallout is one of the top three most watched series on Prime Video and is the most watched TV series on the platform since «The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power».

The series has also proved popular with critics, receiving a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. In its reviews Denys Fedoruk wrote for ITC.UA:

«Another top-notch video game adaptation that should appeal to many Fallout fans. Give this team all the lids in the world from under the «Nuclear Clockwork» so they can get started on the second season» as soon as possible.
