Відеокарти Radeon RX 9070 XT та RX 9070 від партнерів / AMD
AMD announced Radeon RX 9070 XT video cards and demonstrated the new Navi 48 GPU using a 4 nm process.
This is reported by the Videocardz website, referencing AMD. According to official AMD data, the company’s public presentation at CES 2025 is scheduled to start at 21:00 Kyiv time.
AMD did not announce any specifications for the Radeon RX 9070 XT series. However, the company confirmed and demonstrated the new Navi 48 GPU, which is significantly smaller than Navi 31 or 32.
According to AMD, the RDNA 4 architecture offers optimized compute units, enhanced AI computing capabilities in second-generation AI accelerators, improved ray tracing performance per compute unit, and better media encoding quality (second generation AMD Radiance Display Engine).
AMD also explained the new naming scheme. According to the company, changing the series name to RX 9070 was necessary to “simplify the model system to match direct comparisons with competitors” (obviously referring to competition with NVIDIA xx70 GPUs).
Images of the new RX 9070 XT video cards from various manufacturers have also surfaced, along with their names (according to the number):
Currently, AMD has not provided any performance slides, but it confirmed that the RX 9070 series will replace the RX 7900 XT, RX 7900 GRE, and RX 7800 XT, while RX 9060 will replace RX 7700 XT and RX 7600 XT. Only these two series were mentioned.
It is likely that AMD will share more detailed information during the official presentation, which will be streamed live. However, the slides and information provided during the previous media briefing did not contain additional details.
Radeon RX 9070 XT and 9070 video cards will be available in the first quarter of 2025. Likely, AMD will reveal more details during the official presentation, but according to VideoCardz, this is all that was known from the previous media briefing.
AMD also confirmed the FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) technology. However, it seems it will only be available on Radeon RX 9070, as stated in one of the images.
