The young witch Geralt will be the protagonist of Andrzej Sapkowski’s new book, which will be published in Poland at the end of November.
Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and the magazine «New Fiction» (Nowa Fantastyka) have revealed details about the new book in the «Witcher» series It will be called «Crossroads of Ravens» (Rozdroże Kruków). The first chapter of the novel will be published in the magazine on November 22, the paper version of the book will appear in Poland on November 29, and the e-book on December 1. The cover was created by artist Tomek Piorunowski.
The story will revolve around 18-20-year-old Geralt, who has just embarked on the path of a witch. The previous book in the series, «Thunderstorm Season», was published more than ten years ago.
«This time, the master of Polish fantasy returns to the youthful years of Geralt, who is just taking his first steps in the witchcraft. Armed with two runic swords, he fights monsters, rescues innocent maidens, and helps unhappy lovers. Always and everywhere, he tries to follow the unwritten code received from his teachers and mentors. The new book may feature Wesemir, other witches, and a young Nenneke, as the events take place several decades before the earliest stories about Geralt. The dates of the book’s release in other countries are not yet known.
Meanwhile, the «The Witcher» universe continues to expand. The fourth season of «The Witcher» is in post-production and will be released in 2025. In February 2025, the animated film «The Witcher: Sirens from the Deep».
