Cryptocurrency ETF issuer Bitwise predicts that the price of Bitcoin (BTC) could reach $200k by the end of 2025, and if the US adopts a strategy to create a strategic Bitcoin reserve, it could exceed $500k. Experts also believe that by 2029, Bitcoin could surpass gold in market capitalization, which currently stands at about $17 trillion. Read more about it in the study.
Ethereum is also expected to see significant growth. Bitwise forecasts that Ether (Ethereum, ETH) will reach the $7k mark due to the growth in the use of Layer 2 solutions, an increase in flows into spot ETFs, and the active development of stablecoins and tokenized projects.
Solana (SOL) has a chance to rise by another 250% and reach $750 due to the active deployment of new projects on its platform.
Bitwise also believes that 2025 will be a defining year for the digital asset market. Institutional interest, the growth of crypto-ETFs, and new technological possibilities will create ideal conditions for the massive development of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other well-known cryptocurrencies.
Additionally, analysts see all the prerequisites for at least five “crypto unicorns” to go public in 2025. The so-called crypto bank Anchorage Digital, analytics firm Chainalysis, and crypto exchange Figure are three other companies expected to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) next year.
