We are likely getting closer to the launch of the iPhone SE 4, as following the photos, the new “budget” Apple smartphone has also appeared in a video.
In the video, published by insider Majin Bu (via Phone Arena), the anticipated iPhone SE 4 is shown in white: with a single lens for the rear camera (rumored to be a 48-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX904 sensor) and surprisingly — the old “notch” on the front panel instead of the “promised” Dynamic Island, which was mentioned in previous rumors, including a report by authoritative source Evan Blass.
Majin Bu clarifies in the comments that these reports indeed had a solid foundation, as Apple “at one point created a prototype version of the phone with Dynamic Island,” but eventually opted for a design similar to the iPhone 14.
Among other updates, rumored to be offered by the iPhone SE 4 are Apple’s own 5G modem, a 6.05-inch LTPS OLED panel with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 and a maximum brightness of 800 nits, the A18 chip (as in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus), as well as 8 GB of RAM, which are expected to power Apple Intelligence.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to measure 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm and have a battery capacity of 3279 mAh (a jump of over 62% compared to the iPhone SE 3), reports also mention the presence of Face ID and IP68 protection, support for wired (up to 20 W) and wireless MagSafe charging (up to 15 W).
The anticipated price of the iPhone SE 4 is $499-$549, and we expect the official presentation to take place in March.
