Critics rave about the film «Snow White» — a visual delight and one of the best remakes, and Rachel Zegler «on top of the game»

On Saturday, an early premiere of «Snow White» — another remake of the classic Disney cartoon starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot took place in Los Angeles, and the first reactions hint that the film turned out to be much better than expected.

Critics have praised the film’s excellent visuals, costumes, music and acting — and, interestingly, they praise Zegler, who is called «stunning» in the role of Snow White.

«Snow White» by Mark Webb («500 Days of Summer», «The Amazing Spider-Man») — it is a rea reinterpretation of the classic 1937 Disney animated film «Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs». Zegler plays the title role, a princess who is forced to travel to the forest after her stepmother, the evil queen (Gal Gadot), seizes control of her parents’ kingdom. Snow White meets the seven dwarfs, and together they come up with a plan to reclaim her domain. Andrew Burnup plays the prince and love interest of Zegler in the movie.

The film has had a long and difficult journey to the big screen, centering on the center of a cultural struggle. Initially, fans did not appreciate the choice of a Colombian-born actress to play the «white as snow character», and later Zegler gathered some more hate with her controversial comments. Rachel said that she did not like the original film, called the prince a stalker», and demonstrated a pro-Palestinian position against the backdrop of the Gaza conflict — despite the fact that her co-star Gal Gadot, who is Israeli and served in the army, has completely different views.

In the end, each of the trailers released by Disney collected an incredible amount of dislikes (two have more than a million). In fact, later there were rumors of problems during the production of — the studio changed as many as seven screenwritersand not all of them are included in the credits (for example, the original author Greta Gerwig was also removed).

In Ukraine, «Snow White» will debut on March 20.
