Death Stranding 2: On the Beach / Хідео Кодзіма
On March 17, pre-orders for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach — Hideo Kojima’s upcoming hit movie, most likely, started.
Pre-orders started on March 17 at 10:00 a.m. in PS Store. Players who purchase the game before the official release will receive a Quokka hologram and three exoskeletons for Sam.
The regular edition includes only the original game. However, Digital Deluxe will also provide access to the game 48 hours before the release, early unlocks of some exoskeletons, and exclusive cosmetic items. The difference in price between the two editions is insignificant, so it will be more profitable to purchase Digital Deluxe with its bonuses.

There is also a collector’s edition, which was not available in the Ukrainian PS Store. The price there is already «decently bites» — $229.99 (about ₴9.5 thousand). This edition includes all the benefits of the Digital Deluxe, 48 hours of early access, a 15-inch Magellan statue, and a 3-inch doll figure. The set also includes art cards, a letter from Kojima, a set of holograms, unique armor elements, and patches.
Earlier, Hideo Kojima showed a 10-minute trailer that revealed some details of the plot. Players were hinted at a technological breakthrough in the delivery system, shown new monsters and a possible new enemy of Sam. In addition, fans online have already spread many theories about what Kojima allegedly added to the game, a favorite from another series — Snake from Metal Gear. Also, Sony reveals the features of the game’s battles and world. In the previous trailer, it was clear that the new part will be no less strange than the first.
Death Stranding 2 will be released on June 26, 2025, exclusively on PlayStation 5 The game was announced back in December 2022 at The Game Awards. Then the developers showed Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, and other actors. The continuation of Sam’s story will be one of the most anticipated games in 2025.
