DJI enters the portable power market in the U.S. and Europe with the release of the Power 1000 and Power 500designed for both home use and «operation in the» field.

The devices can be used to power small appliances or charge laptops or even drones and can be combined with solar panels.

The 13-kilogram Power 1000 has a capacity of 1024 Wh and can deliver up to 2200 Wh, enough to run a home microwave for about 1.3 hours or a car refrigerator for 19 hours, or, for example, charge a drone up to 12 times. Weighing 7.3 kg, the Power 500 has a 512 Wh capacity and 1000 W output for half the price ($500).

The larger version supports 1200W fast charging or 600W standard charging (540W and 270W for the smaller version). Both can be charged in 70 minutes to 100% battery charge or in 50 minutes to 80% battery charge. Along with the standard power plugs, both have a pair of USB-C PD output ports that support 140W/100W charging for the Power 1000/Power 500 — this is sufficient for most laptops.

The market is quite saturated with such devices (Jackery, Bluetti, Anker, and others), but DJI considers its devices to be the ideal way to charge its drones and other products. Launched in China in December, they were already available in the US on Amazon and in other countries through the gray market.
