Elon Musk says the movie «Blade Runner 2049» «sucks»

The other day, the film company Alcon Entertainment filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk, Tesla and Warner Bros. Discovery over the unauthorized use of images from the movie «Blade Runner 2049» during the presentation of an unmanned Tesla robot taxi. In response to the news of the lawsuit, Elon Musk wrote a concise comment on the social network X (Twitter): «This movie — sucks».

According to the lawsuit, during the video presentation, Tesla’s robotaxi used images created with the help of artificial intelligence from scenes from Blade Runner 2049». Among them — an image similar to the character of Ryan Gosling.

Alcon Entertainment emphasizes that it does not want to have any ties with Tesla, X, or Musk’s companies due to his «overly politicized and unpredictable behavior that sometimes borders on hate speech».

«Blade Runner 2049» — is a 2017 science fiction film starring Ryan Gosling as an LAPD detective named Kay. In the story, he uncovers a mystery that could plunge the rest of society into chaos and goes in search of his former «Blade Runner» Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford).

The film grossed $259.2 million at the global box office against a budget of $150 million. On the website Rotten Tomatoes the movie has an 88% rating from critics and 89% from the audience.
