Прототип потрійного смартфона Samsung, показаний на CES 2022
At the last Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung first talked about its triple-folding smartphone. This device has been circulating in rumors for some time. The South Korean giant’s plans seem to have intensified after the release of the Huawei Mate XT last year. And now, a new leak from Korea sheds light on the name of Samsung’s triple-folding phone, as well as its specifications.
Citing industry sources and display analyst Ross Young, blogger Yuex1122 reported that the device will be called the Galaxy G Fold. It will be quite different from the company’s existing Galaxy Z line.
It is not yet clear why Samsung decided to choose this naming scheme, but it can be assumed that it may be related to the folding mechanism. Rumors suggest that the device will have a G-shaped design, meaning that the inside of the screen can be folded twice. This will happen on both the left and right sides. This mechanism will be quite different from Huawei Mate XTthat folds in and out.
According to new reports, the display panel of the Samsung Galaxy G Fold will measure 9.96 inches, which will provide enough space on the screen. The current generation Z Fold 6 has a 7.6-inch internal display. When fully folded, the screen size will be 6.54 inches.
At the same time, it is claimed that the Galaxy G Fold will weigh the same as the Huawei Mate XT, which weighs 298 g. But there is also speculation that it will be thicker than Huawei’s model, probably due to the inward folding design.
The source claims that the Samsung Galaxy G Fold triple smartphone will be presented during the third quarter of 2025. The price has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be high.
