Tests of AMD’s new video card, or rather the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+, generate mixed feelings. A good try, but probably not.

RX 9070 XT is actually is in the same range as RTX 5070 Ti. In terms of performance, the «red» card is almost always «in the tail» Ti, however, sometimes it lags significantly behind, and in rare cases even beats it.

Net loss in terms of «power supply» — 300W RTX 5070 Ti in heavy modes vs 350-400W RX 9070 XT. Perhaps the price? But here again, no — the recommended $749 for the RTX 5070 Ti is not the $599 that AMD says, but much higher official manufacturer prices. Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+, which is presented in the test TechPowerUp, It costs $730 and it is unknown how much it will actually cost. AMD video cards are supposedly smaller deficit is expected, But we cannot say for sure.

Observers note the lag of the new Radeons in graphics processing technologies. AMD recently showed a technical demo that was supposed to showcase path tracing and noise reduction by neural supersampling at its best, but it seems to be a bit of a letdown, showed something completely different.

Among the positive aspects, we mention the Radeon RX 9070 XT’s significant increase in ray tracing compared to the previous generation (+58%), good overclocking potential, quiet operation of this particular model, and correct operation with multiple monitors.
