OnePlus starts teasing the new Ace 5 smartphones. The first real photos of the phone showcase a screen with slim bezels around it.
The President of OnePlus China, Li Jie, revealed real photos of the Ace 5, highlighting its design and narrow bezels. The images showcase a flat display surrounded by ultra-slim bezels. Unfortunately, the OnePlus boss didn’t share any technical details about the screen. The pictures also hint at a metal frame for the OnePlus Ace 5. The design of the phone’s back panel still remains a mystery — but it’s likely to be unveiled later this week. Sources suggest that the phone might feature a ceramic back.
Unofficially, it’s known that the OnePlus Ace 5 will sport a 6.78” BOE X2 8T LTPO screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. OnePlus has tuned the chip for enhanced performance and energy efficiency at the level of Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The phone is expected to feature 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It’s likely to come with a battery capacity of around 6000 mAh supporting 100W fast charging. Ace 5 might feature a 50 MP OIS main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 MP macro. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is set to be released simultaneously with the Ace 5, featuring Snapdragon 8 Elite on board. Improved cameras, including a telephoto lens with optical zoom, are also expected.
