Складаний смартфон Oppo Find N5
The Oppo Find N5, the world’s thinnest folding smartphone in the book style, is expected to be announced next week. Reviewers of The Verge have already received the device and shared photos and first impressions.
Oppo is careful to use this «book-style» caveat because the Find N5 is not as thin as the three-fold Huawei Mate XT launched in China last year. At least when open, it’s not the thinnest. But when closed, the Find N5 is much thinner than the Huawei phone, which is made possible by two folding panels instead of three.
It feels extremely thin, so much so that the USB-C port is separated from the outside of the phone by what seems to be a hair-thick metal. Without doing away with the port entirely, it’s hard to imagine us getting phones much thinner than this. The journalists were impressed by the fact that with all this, the phone feels sturdy, even reliable. It doesn’t bend under pressure, it’s likely that JerryRigsEverything will find a way to break the phone, it doesn’t look like it will break by accident.
Oppo tried to reduce the visibility of the crease on the display. It’s there, and it’s noticeable, but only when the light falls at a certain angle, and it’s almost impossible to feel it with your finger. The crease hasn’t disappeared yet, but it’s pretty invisible at the moment, so it’s hard to imagine that it will bother anyone.
The Find N5 is available in black and white, although there is a pretty purple model made of vegan (i.e. artificial) leather that seems to be available only in China. The smartphone runs on Oppo’s ColorOS Android shell and has the same powerful multitasking features that were a big draw of the previous generation.
The Oppo Find N5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, boasts a full set of IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 waterproof certifications, and supports both wireless and wired charging.
