From RTX 50 with Core Ultra 9 to efficient Intel N (6W) – new Asus NUCs for every need

Asus has unveiled a new generation of NUC PCs at CES 2025, offering users a wide range of systems from energy-efficient to powerful. The updated lineup includes the NUC 14 Pro AI+, NUC 15 Pro, NUC 15 Pro+, 2025 ROG NUC, and NUC 14 Essential.

The NUC 14 Pro AI+ is a slightly improved version of the NUC 14 Pro AI released by Asus in early September. Like the previous version, this device has a Lunar Lake Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor with integrated Intel Arc graphics, which provides a total performance of 120 TOPs. It comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2.5G Ethernet, HDMI, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, and four USB Type-A ports. However, the NUC 14 Pro AI+ stands out because of its multi-color e-ink display on the top of the chassis. It allows you to display any image or icon even when the device is off. It also has an ARGB ring around the top edge of the case.

The Asus NUC 15 Pro and NUC 15 Pro+ are aimed at those who need high performance. It will be provided by Intel Core Ultra 7 265H and Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processors, respectively. These Arrow Lake chips are mobile versions of Intel’s latest desktop chips. In addition to numerous ports, including two HDMI 2.1 and two Thunderbolt 4 ports for up to four 4K displays, Asus has provided these NUCs with tool-free access, allowing users to easily maintain and upgrade these devices.

Asus has updated the ROG NUC with the latest performance components: an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and RTX 50-series mobile graphics processor, giving it a total performance of over 200 TOPS. And, despite its small size of just 3 liters, it runs quietly, even under maximum load, thanks to three fans and a dual evaporative cooling solution.

Asus has released the NUC 14 Essential for those who need a simple work tool without a lot of performance. This device utilizes Intel’s most efficient N-series chips, which can consume as little as 6 watts. This means it has very low power consumption and needs much less cooling, which allowed Asus to fit all of this into a chassis that measures just 135x115x36mm – about the size of a case fan. Still, you get a full Windows 11 OS and plenty of ports: two USB Type-C, five USB Type-A, and a 2.5G Ethernet port. It also has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity.
