Elden Ring: Nightreign / FromSoftware
FromSoftware has presented the sixth hero of Elden Ring: Nightreign — it’s a barbarian Raider. He was introduced in a new trailer.
This is the sixth character out of eight that will be available at the game’s release on May 30, 2025. FromSoftware has already shown a mage, an archer, a stealth master, a classic tank, and a universal character. Now we’ve seen a barbarian with a heavy axe, who is cutting through enemies.
The main feature of Raider is its blunt force and impact on the surrounding space. He can lift stone spikes from the ground, causing massive damage in the radius of the attack. As a result, they turn into a large monolith. This platform can be used by other players to gain a height advantage — for example, the archer Ironeye shoots a boss from above, and another hero jumps from it for a devastating blow. In general, his play style is gradual «tank» with the ability to both clear space and help the team.
All characters in the game have unique archetypes. As of now, six out of eight have been officially introduced: Duchess, Guardian, Recluse, Wylder, Ironeye, and Raider. One more confirmed character is called Executor, but it hasn’t been fully announced yet.
Elden Ring: Nightreign — is a standalone cooperative game in the Elden Ring universe that announced at The Game Awards 2024. The story takes place in Limgrave, now called Limveld. Three players play the game together during three game days — it’s a kind of mix of classic Souls gameplay and Battle Royale. You can also play alone, but there is no support for a two-person mode.
At launch, Nightreign will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. УSteam pre-order costs 1199₴ (1649₴ for Deluxe Edition). Back in February, developers showed a trailer for Elden Ring: Nightreign.
