Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 / Samsung
Frore Systems announced that at CES 2025, they’ll showcase the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 laptop featuring the solid-state cooling tech AirJet.
Teaming up with Samsung opens up new ways to handle heat management in sleek and lightweight laptops. The cooling system tackles common issues like heat dispersion and operational noise while keeping the device’s slim profile.
AirJet technology uses a solid-state air flow mechanism instead of traditional fans, providing efficient and quiet cooling. Frore Systems reports that this system can boost laptop performance by up to 50% without increasing the device’s thickness or generating noise. Previously, the company demonstrated AirJet integrated with a solid-state drive.
The Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 is one of the thinnest in its category. Using AirJet is expected to enhance its performance while maintaining portability. Frore Systems states that AirJet will enable the laptop to use 18W instead of the usual 12W with a standard cooling system.
Moreover, the cooling system’s size will decrease by 45%, freeing up internal space. This extra space will accommodate a 64.8 Wh battery instead of 55.9 Wh, extending video playback time by 16% — from 20 to 23.2 hours.
AirJet also eliminates the need for fan intake vents, resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing and moisture- and dust-resistant design with an ultra-slim profile of 10.9 mm. Frore Systems claims that the AirJet system provides stable performance during extended use, making it ideal for resource-intensive applications and gaming.
