Samsung is preparing for the official announcement of its new Galaxy M16 smartphone. Currently, rendered images of this device have been leaked online, and some of its specifications are known.
The Samsung Galaxy M16 will be available in three colors, and its front design resembles the Samsung Galaxy M15, as it features an AMOLED display with an Infinity-U notch. On the back, in the left corner, the M16 has three cameras arranged vertically, just like the M15, but this time they are placed inside the camera island.
The back panel of Samsung Galaxy M16 is also flat and has no textured patterns. The bezels of the M16 are also flat, with the SIM card slot on the left bezel and the volume rocker and power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner on the right.
Samsung Galaxy M16 has already been tested in the Geekbench package, which allowed us to reveal some of its characteristics. The smartphone has a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and runs Android 14. We should also expect versions with less RAM. The M16 scored 552 points in the single-core test and 1611 points in the multi-core Geekbench 5.5.1 test for Android.
It’s worth noting that last year, the Samsung Galaxy A15 and M15 smartphones were identical in terms of specifications, except for the larger battery of the latter. So, we can assume that the M16 will be identical to the A16 (which has already been released with the Dimensity 6300 chip), possibly with a larger 6000 mAh battery.
Thus, we can expect that the Samsung Galaxy M16 will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a peak brightness of 800 nits, 4, 6 and 8 GB of RAM configurations, and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. The main camera will have a 50-megapixel sensor. It will be complemented by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
