Google’s Gmail email service is launching an interesting feature called «subscription management», which allows users to unsubscribe from all subscriptions in just one click.
However, the feature is currently only available to users of Android devices. Google has already added a number of changes to Gmail due to the rapid growth of email campaigns, including a large unsubscribe button on both mobile devices and desktop computers.
The new update sees Gmail roll out a new «Manage Subscriptions» page. The app displays a message informing users about the new option, with the «Manage Subscriptions» button in the additional menu.
The new page contains a list of email addresses and names associated with user subscriptions that are sent via email. You can also see how many emails associated with your subscription have been sent recently. The button on the right side of the display allows users to quickly unsubscribe from emails from any of the senders.
Google warns that it may take several days for senders to stop sending messages. However, the one-click unsubscribe feature is currently not available in the web version of Gmail and is not available for iOS users.
Google explained that the feature will be introduced gradually and will include both websites and iOS devices.
Previously, Google has already improved the function Help me write in the web version of Gmail allows users to create or customize emails using Gemini AI. Just like on mobile devices, when users open a blank draft in Gmail, they will be prompted to use this feature.
In addition, Google is working on on the new system email security, which will allow you to create one-time email addresses or pseudonyms — they can be shared with other users, programs, or sites, and received emails will be forwarded to the main one, thus protecting its privacy.
The main advantage of this update is that sites or other services will not spam you in your primary mail, while your email address will receive additional protection from getting leaked.
