The Grayscale Investment Fund has added 35 altcoins to its list of assets under consideration for future investment products. The list includes investments in five main categories: currencies, smart contract platforms, finance, consumption and culture, and utilities and services. Interestingly, the list is dominated by altcoins related to smart contract platforms: 16 tokens from different networks are under consideration.

Grayscale Investments is a company that manages cryptocurrency trusts and other investment products. Grayscale is one of the largest institutional holders of Bitcoin — 222,300 BTC worth $12.8 billion held in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC). Since the conversion of GBTC to an ETF in January, investors have withdrawn assets worth about $20 billion.
