GSC Game World seems to be unsure about the technical condition of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The company says that now all efforts are aimed at a stable launch, but they are preparing to work after it.
The developers told GamesRadardesperate for the best possible release, but anticipating a strong work on updates in the first weeks after launch, dedicated to «technical issues». Zakhar Bocharov, PR manager of GSC Game World, emphasizes the developers’ desire to present the game in the best possible condition:
«Each [developer] is absolutely dedicated at this point, they are all trying to make the game as perfect as possible.
…
We don’t want this game to be forgotten in a week or two. We are going to do it. We will receive feedback from the players and listen to it carefully. We have done this in the past, both in good and not so good cases. We really care about what the concerns are, that we will make changes, and we will do it in a timely manner.
…
At the same time, I can’t explain in words how much people want to do as much as possible by the late stage. They just do their best».
As you know, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. has survived many transfers release date and was supposed to be released in 2022. Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, of course, made its own adjustments, but the developers quickly moved to the Czech Republic, and Since then, the game has been postponed several times. It is the technical condition that is the reason why releases are usually postponed. Previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games had technical problems at launch, and the PR person’s desperate assurance that the studio is «doing everything possible» adds a bit of anxiety.
