Absolutely independent from Huawei, the company Honor has introduced the smartphones Honor 300, 300 Pro, and 300 Ultra. The manufacturer positions them for creating high-quality photos, including selfies and portraits.
All three phones in the Honor 300 series are equipped with a main 50 MP Sony IMX906 1/1.56” camera and a truly outstanding 50 MP f/2.1 selfie camera. On the back panel of the 300 Pro, in addition to the main one, there is also a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a Sony IMX856 sensor (as in the Honor 200 Pro). The third is a 12 MP ultra-wide camera f/2.2 with autofocus. The Honor 300 model is distinguished by the absence of a telephoto lens.
The smartphones run on MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15 with many intelligent technologies, particularly for image processing. It is possible to remove objects, create animated images, add generated content, retouch faces, and edit photos using artificial intelligence.
Honor 300 has a 6.7” flat AMOLED display with a resolution of 2664×1200 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display of the Honor 300 Pro has a diagonal of 6.78”, a resolution of 2700×1224, and micro-curves at the edges. The maximum brightness of the displays is 4000 nits.
The senior of the two smartphones is equipped with last year’s flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (as in the Ultra model). Honor 300 Pro has 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB or 512 GB storage, and also a 5300 mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. Honor 300 received Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with 8 GB, 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB storage. It has the same energy capacity but only wired charging up to 100 W.
The new in the series Honor 300 Ultra received a 50 MP periscopic lens with a Sony IMX856 sensor, offering 3.8x optical zoom and an aperture of f/3.0, the other two cameras are the same as in Pro. The screen, similar to the Honor 300 Pro, features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The phone also received up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB storage, the largest in the series. The battery is also similar to the Pro model. The oldest model additionally has dust and water resistance IP65.
Honor 300 8/256 GB is available at ~$320, 12/256 GB — ~$350, 12/512 GB — ~$385,16/512 GB — ~$410. The phone received colors Ink Rock Black, Jade Dragon Snow, Chaka Green, Cangshan Grey, and Luyan Purple.
Honor 300 Pro 12/256 GB costs ~$470, 12/512 GB — ~$510, 16/512 GB — ~$550. The smartphone is available in colors Ink Rock Black, Starlight Sand, and Chaka Green.
The price of Honor 300 Ultra starts at ~$610 for 12/512 GB of memory, and the model with 16 GB / 1 TB costs ~$680. Available colors are Camellia White and Ink Rock Black.
The launch of Honor 300 sales in China is planned for December 6. The series is almost certainly going to hit the global market, but it is unknown if all three smartphones will be available.
