In November, more than 1.8 thousand new cars with gasoline engines and about 1.5 thousand new cars with diesel engines were added to the Ukrainian car fleet. At the same time, the volume of registrations of gasoline models decreased by 24% compared to November last year, while diesel versions increased by +36%.
At the same time, the share of gasoline cars in total sales of new passenger cars also decreased. While in November 2023 they accounted for 45% of the new car market, now it is 35.5%. Diesel cars accounted for 29% of the new car market, compared to 20.5% in November 2023.
The most popular model among new cars with gasoline internal combustion engines was the SKODA Octavia, and the most popular model with a diesel engine was the RENAULT Duster.
When it comes to used cars with internal combustion engines, gasoline models are by far the most popular. These were 46% of the used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates in November. Their total number amounted to 6.8 thousand units, and the average age was 10.5 years.
More than 3.7 thousand used diesel cars were imported to Ukraine. They account for 25% of the total number of used cars. In this case, the average age was 10.4 years.
