«Is this Shrek 5?»: a new trailer «Snow White» again «disliked» on YouTube

Disney Company published a trailer for the «Snow White» remake on YouTube, but the audience’s reaction was quite predictable.

In the first day after its publication, the video received 15,000 likes and 192,000 dislikes. Commentators joke that this is «the first Disney movie that no one will want to watch even in a pirated version».

The film was at the center of a scandal even before its premiere. The main actress Rachel Zegler repeatedly criticized the original cartoon, calling it «outdated» and the prince — «stalker». Viewers also criticized the visual effects in the trailer, comparing the CGI gnomes and Snow White to characters from «Shrek». «Lord Farquaad and the Seven CGI» — was one of the most popular comments under the video.

The plot also caused outrage: Snow White not only saves the prince, but also leads a rebellion against the monarchy. Users ironically support the Evil Queen, calling her «the real heroine who saves the kingdom from Snow White».

The world premiere of «Snow White» is scheduled for March 21, 2025. The film will be released in Ukrainian cinemas a day earlier.
