The Kia EV9 has already gained popularity as a practical and luxurious electric crossover, but the company is raising the bar even higher with the announcement of the powerful EV9 GT. Borrowed from its corporate brother Hyundai, VGS simulates the driving experience of a traditional internal combustion engine car. It offers drivers the option of choosing between an automatic transmission mode or manual gearshift using the steering wheel paddles.Visually, the EV9 GT differs from the regular model with unique 21-inch wheels, decorative elements and bright lime green accents. The interior is equipped with more supportive sports seats upholstered in Alcantara. The Kia EV9 GT 2025 is equipped with a full range of driver assistance technologies and a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port that allows charging at Supercharger stations.
While Kia has yet to announce an official price or range for the EV9 GT, it is expected to be slightly more expensive than the current GT-Line AWD, which starts at $75,395 in the US. The range is expected to be slightly lower than that of the GT-Line AWD, which is 435 km. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025.
