MediaTek is expected to release a new Dimensity 9400+ mobile processor this quarter. This was reported by an insider at Digital Chat Station. The source claims that the main difference of the new chipset will be the increased frequency of computing cores.
MediaTek usually presents the Plus version of its flagship chipset in the second half of the calendar year. However, Dimensity 9400+ will be launched earlier, and consumer device manufacturers will quickly start using it in their products.
The standard Dimensity 9400 processor has a leading Cortex-X925 core running at 3.63 GHz, while the Plus version is expected to reach 3.7 GHz.
Digital Chat Station indicates that we will see two new phones based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ shortly after the announcement of the processor.
One of them with a «smaller flat panel and a periscopic camera on the back» and the other is a «larger camera phone». Both feature flat display panels (without any 2.5D curves). It is too early to say whether these devices will be the vivo X200S and Oppo Find X8S.
