The new Windows 11 battery icon will be similar to Android and iOS, and this is absolutely no coincidence.
Finally, «battery» will become clearer and more convenient, as Microsoft has announced. The company revealed the details of the new design during video conferencing for Insider versions. On the main point — Windows 11 will get rid of subtle icons that you have to look at with a magnifying glass.
The battery icon will now be longer and will show the charge level more clearly. The updated colors will be classic for gadgets — orange (for power saving mode), green (while charging), and red (low charge). Also, you no longer need to hover the cursor to see how much charge is left.
The new «battery» will automatically change color and animation so that the user can quickly understand what is happening to the battery. But the battery will be 100% black (in the case of a light theme) or white (in the case of a dark theme).
In total, Microsoft showed seven icons that have not yet been added to Windows:

These icons and changes will appear in Windows 11 24H2. But the «batteries» change will not be the only one expected in this build. The Company tests the update of recommendations in «Explorer» and in the menu «Start» new grouping format.
