The updated third-generation Renault Duster crossover was officially presented in Ukraine. The current version is in high demand among Ukrainians and confidently leads the monthly ratings of new car sales.
The new Renault Duster is based on the CMF-B platform, which offers various powertrain options, improved handling, driver assistance systems and an updated multimedia system.
The car has an aggressive design in the new brand style. Among the interesting solutions are the tailgate handle hidden in the pillar, the Y-shaped LED pattern in the headlights and taillights, the Renault inscription on the grille and the embossed shape of the hood. Massive gray inserts in the bumpers have been added to the plastic elements around the body perimeter. The car will have two versions of the front bumper: on the all-wheel drive Duster, it provides a better entry angle, and on front-wheel drive models it has a different shape, which contributes to improved aerodynamics.
The side mirror housings feature turn signal repeaters. Massive arches accommodate wheels ranging in size from 16 to 18 inches. And the roof rails can be customized. There are 7 body colors available for the Duster, two of which – «Green Oxide» and «Beige Sandstone» – are new.
Renault Duster has a minimalist interior. For the first time, the car has a 7-inch color digital instrument panel. The 10.1-inch infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and can also display images from 4 surround view cameras. The new steering wheel can be heated. The center tunnel has a panel for wireless smartphone charging.
The new Renault Duster has become more spacious, especially in the rear of the cabin. The crossover also received a larger trunk (542 liters versus 478 liters for its predecessor) and a wider loading bay. When the rear row backrest is folded, the useful volume increases to 1651 liters. In addition, the cabin has many compartments for small items with a total volume of 29 liters.
There are 3 powertrains available for Renault Duster. For the first time, a mild hybrid based on a 1.2-liter TCe gasoline engine with a capacity of 130 hp is offered. The hybrid delivers up to 230 Nm of torque from low revs while reducing fuel consumption by 10% (5.7 l/100 km), providing a range of more than 900 km.
Also available for the first time in the lineup is a 1.3-liter gasoline turbo engine with an output of 150 hp. It will work with a 7-speed robotic EDC automatic transmission. There is also a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine with 115 hp, which consumes only 4.7 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle.
Buyers will be able to choose a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive version. In the first case, the ground clearance is 209 mm, and in the second – 217 mm. The entry and exit angles of the 4×4 version have been improved to 31 degrees and 36 degrees, respectively.
The new Renault Duster will be available in Ukraine in three trim levels: Authentic, Evolution and Techno.
The basic Authentic equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, rear parking sensors and tire pressure monitoring. There is a choice of a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine (6-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive) or a 1.3-liter gasoline engine (automatic transmission, front-wheel drive). The price starts at UAH 829,900.
The Evolution package offers 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch instrument panel, a 10.1-inch multimedia system, a rearview camera, cruise control with speed limiter, and driver assistance systems. In this case, a hybrid system with a 1.2-liter engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, and all-wheel drive is offered. The price starts at UAH 969,900.
The top-end Techno trim will be available in the second half of 2025 with gasoline engines (1.3 and 1.2 MHEV). Its price will be announced later.
