Following the recent leak, the official trailer for Disney’s remake of “Snow White” has appeared.
The trailer gives a more detailed look at the characters played by Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, who portrays the evil queen, and also offers a new perspective on all seven dwarfs.
“Snow White,” directed by Marc Webb, is another live-action adaptation of the classic 1937 Disney animated film and has already faced a stream of criticism, particularly regarding the casting of the lead actress and how the dwarfs are depicted in the film. Fans also disliked how Zegler criticized the original story for focusing on Snow White’s search for love. The previous trailer, as a reminder, garnered over 1.4 million dislikes and hundreds of scathing comments.
Zegler is known for her role in Steven Spielberg’s musical “West Side Story” and last year’s prequel “The Hunger Games”, while Gadot is remembered by audiences for her role as Wonder Woman. The cast also includes Andrew Burnap, Martin Klebba, and Ansu Kabia.
The screenplay for the film was written by Greta Gerwig (“Barbie”) and Erin Cressida Wilson (“The Girl on the Train”).
The world premiere of “Snow White” is set for March 21, 2025 (the film debuts in Ukrainian cinemas a day earlier).
