Next Fest has launched on Steam — Gothic 1 Remake, Among Us 3D, PUBG Blindspo, and hundreds of other games launched on Steam

Steam has launched the February Next Fest 2025, which features hundreds of free demos: the upcoming remake of the role-playing game Gothic Remake 1 and the new PUBG game: Blindspot, among others.

Next Fest is just one of several events planned for 2025. Developers presented various genres of games: shooters, horror, meditative simulators, exploration adventures, and much more. Valve has also prepared a funny trailer for the event.

Earlier, Valve also confirmed dates of additional game festivals and upcoming sales on Steam. Here is a brief overview of the hundreds of things you can expect from the Next Fest :

  • PUBG: Blindspot: a new game in the PUBG universe, which is a tactical dynamic 5v5 shooter, formerly known as Project ARC. Players fight heavily armed opponents in narrow corridors. Users can choose from ten characters, each with their own unique weapons and special tools. The game includes team battle to the death and explosive missions.

  • Gothic Remake 1: updated version of the cult classic role-playing game Gothic which was released in 2001. The game uses the modern Unreal Engine 5 engine, has an improved combat system and realistic animations Players will be returned to the world of the colony, where an unnamed hero tries to survive in the harsh conditions of the open world and his every action has consequences
  • Among Us 3D: The new version of the popular game offers a three-dimensional world without the need to use a VR headset (but still supports it). The game will retain the basic gameplay, including completing tasks, sabotage, emergency meetings and impostors, etc.
  • Wanderstop: The creators of The Stanley Parable (2019) presented a meditative simulator where the former warrior Alta runs a tea shop in the forest. Players are offered a cozy experience of making tea for travelers and interacting with unique creatures. The game promises unexpected plot twists and hidden elements.
  • Post Trauma: a horror inspired by the first Silent Hill and Resident Evil. In the story, train conductor Roman wakes up in a surreal dimension after a panic attack. Players are offered to explore a distorted reality, fight nightmares, and choose how to resolve conflicts: with weapons or peacefully.

  • Static Dread: is a survival horror game inspired by the works of Howard Lovecraft. The player is placed in an old lighthouse where he has to keep the light on for ships, but he is disturbed by horrors every night. The demo version of the game offers five nights, which provides approximately two hours of gameplay. The final release will include several endings.
  • Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall: Yes, Your Grace: a sequel to the story of Yes, Your Grace, which takes place a year after the end of the first part. The story centers on the story of King Eric of Davern, managing resources and trying to ensure the prosperity of the kingdom (or its decline).
  • Demon Tides: Players control the character Beebz, who travels the oceans with the team and explores various locations. In particular, she reveals the dark secrets of the kingdom. The game combines elements of the platformer and adventure genre in an open world, and offers dynamic gameplay with the ability to upgrade equipment and compete with other players.
  • The Horror at Highrook: an occult card role-playing game with elements of investigation in a malevolent mansion with your team of investigators. Players summon dark entities, create powerful defenses, and uncover the fate of a missing family. The game is inspired by the works of Howard Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and Bram Stoker.
  • Vector Strike: is a first-person shooter where teams compete in sports matches. 4v4 players can shoot, do double jumps, run up walls, slide, jerk, pass the ball, and score goals.

  • Cattle Country: is a cozy simulator of life in the Wild West inspired by the cult Stardew Valley. In the game, you can manage a ranch, explore the prairie, and interact with various characters. The demo covered the basic mechanics of the game, including horseback riding, mining, fishing, and crafting.
  • Lost Skies: is an open-world adventure game dedicated to the remains of ancient civilizations. The demo features an initial world with floating islands and fascinating landscapes that players can explore using a hook, hang glider, and wing suit.

  • Fumehead: is a turn-based RPG game set in a post-apocalyptic underworld. The characters Jack and Ami are fighting a new alien disease called Slither. Players are offered a challenging but intuitive tactical combat gameplay where each character has 40 unique skills.
  • Radiolight: is a supernatural thriller where the protagonist is a police officer from the town of Ashwood Creek who investigates the disappearance of a child. In the national park, the player comes across mysterious radio signals that lead him to the solution and danger. The game is stylized in the atmosphere of the 1980s.
  • Camper Van: Make it Home: a cozy and meditative game that invites you to create your ideal home on wheels. Players can customize the interior of their van using block puzzles and design elements. In the game, you can explore different locations such as beaches, forest glades, and snowy levels.

Next Fest will run from February 24 to March 3. The full list of game demos is available at the link.
