Тестування NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 зі збільшенною пам'яттю / @eisneim, X
The information about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 96 GB graphics card seems fantastic against the background of release of the RTX 50 generation Blackwell, but it is confirmed by several sources.
According to X insider @eisneim, the RTX 4090 with 96 GB of video memory is currently in testing and will soon enter mass production. The estimated date of this product’s appearance on the market is in a couple of months. A 48 GB model will also be released. Wccftech writes that the data on 4090 96 GB was confirmed by one of the plant’s employees.
According to @julianmb, a user involved in the supply chain, one of the factories will supply RTX 4090 with 48 GB of video memory, but they claim that it is impossible to produce a 96 GB model. However, another factory claims that it is not difficult to make a video card with 96 GB of VRAM.
Interesting, I’ve managed to visit a factory last week that was selling the 4090 48GB, but they said the 96GB was not possible for now.

This insider says that the 96GB model is still unstable and that its price is twice the price of the 48GB model due to the larger amount of video memory. According to the user, this is one of the reasons why some factories are considering producing only 48GB, but can produce 96GB in about 3-4 months.
NVIDIA’s previous generation flagship RTX 4090 graphics card has a 384-bit memory bus, so it will need a minimum of 4GB GDDR6X memory modules to reach 96GB on a custom 12-channel PCB. However, there are no known 4GB GDDR6X or GDDR6 modules currently available. One insider says that the manufacturer planning to release the 96GB 4090 does have 4GB memory chips from an unspecified manufacturer.
It seems that in the days of the Blackwell RTX 4090, which allegedly taken out of production according to earlier reports, is becoming legendary. NVIDIA itself has joined the rumors with the RTX 4090 Ti prototype in his video about Founders Edition video card cooling systems. Enthusiasts create steampunk computers and even laptops with desktop RTX 4090. Chinese enthusiast adapted a household air conditioner to cool it down.
