Відеокарта RTX 5060 / NVIDIA
According to CTEE, NVIDIA has encountered performance issues with its mid-range GPUs, which has delayed their release.
Earlier, the company confirmed that the release of GeForce RTX 5070 (without Ti) was postponed to March 5. NVIDIA had originally planned to release the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 in February, but the latter was postponed for unknown reasons.
According to CTEE, the problem was the chip architecture. Because of this, changes had to be made, which pushed back mass production by a month. The production of RTX 5070 has already started, but the bulk of deliveries are expected only in mid-March. This could mean a shortage of video cards at the start of sales.
As for the RTX 5060, NVIDIA has not yet announced an official release date. It was previously rumored that it would be released in March, but now it is expected that mass production will start only in mid-April.
In addition to internal problems, the earthquake in Tainan caused delays in production, which affected the production of chip wafers. Together, these factors pushed the mass production schedule back by four weeks. As a result, the RTX 5070 is now expected to ship in mid-March, and the RTX 5060 is expected to ship in mid-April at the earliest.
The use of the GB206 GPU has already been confirmed for the RTX 5070, while there is no official information about the RTX 5060. Previous rumors also attributed them to the GB206 GPU. The RTX 5060 Ti version is likely to be based on the GB205 chip. If the performance problem really affects this series, all three models may be delayed.
It seems that neither the RTX 5090, 5080, nor 5070 Ti were ready for a full launch. Recently, NVIDIA announced a Priority Verified Access program for RTX 5090/5080 due to a shortage of graphics cards on sale. As for the RTX 5070 Ti, its supply is entirely up to NVIDIA partners, who often raise prices above the recommended ones.
