Sora від OpenAI дозволяє генерувати відео за текстовим описом, але недоступна в ЄС, Британії та Китаї
ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers will be able to use Sora.
OpenAI releases Sora, its AI model for converting text to video. The model is available today on sora.com for ChatGPT subscribers in the US and «most other countries», along with the new version of — Sora Turbo. The updated model has additional features: creating videos based on text descriptions, animating images, and editing existing videos.
With a ChatGPT Plus subscription, according to OpenAI, users will be able to generate up to 50 priority videos (1000 credits) with a resolution of up to 720p and a duration of 5 seconds. ChatGPT Pro subscription for $200 per month, which launched last week, provides «unlimited generations of» and up to 500 priority videos, increasing the resolution to 1080p and the duration of — up to 20 seconds. The more expensive plan also allows subscribers to upload watermarked videos and run up to five generations simultaneously.
During the live broadcast, OpenAI demonstrated the new Sora «explore» page with a feed of AI-generated videos created by other community members. They also presented the «storyboard» feature, which allows you to create videos based on a sequence of text queries, as well as the ability to turn photos into videos. OpenAI also showed the «remix» tool, which allows you to adjust the results of Sora’s work through text queries, and the «mix» function of two scenes.
«It’s clear that as OpenAI we are an attractive target,» said Aditya Ramesh, OpenAI’s vice president of research, during the broadcast. — We are committed to preventing the illegal use of Sora, but at the same time we want to maintain a balance with creative expression. We realize that… this is going to be an ongoing challenge, and maybe not everything will be perfect from day one. We’re starting with a pretty conservative approach, so if our moderation isn’t working quite right, just give us feedback».
Sora is currently available worldwide except for EU countries, the UK and China. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that the launch in «most of Europe and the United Kingdom» may «take some time».

In November, a group of artists who helped test Sora, accused OpenAI in the free exploitation of their work without permission to publish the work.
