Oppo A5 Pro: smartphone with military protection, Dimensity 7300 chip, 6000 mAh battery, and price from $275

Oppo has officially unveiled a new mid-range smartphone called Oppo A5 Pro. This new product has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The display also has an integrated fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. Another interesting thing is that the display is able to recognize touches with wet fingers and gloves.

The new Oppo A5 Pro smartphone is equipped with a Dimensity 7300 processor, 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, and up to 512 GB of storage. There is no memory card slot. The device has an IP66/68/69 rating, military-grade GJB150A-2009 certification, and 360-degree drop protection. It also has symmetrical low-frequency antennas at both ends of the bezel for better signal strength.

On the back of the smartphone is a dual camera. It includes a 50-megapixel main module with phase detection auto focus and electronic image stabilization, as well as a 2-megapixel monochrome auxiliary module. A 16-megapixel camera for self-portraits is located in the display hole.

The Oppo A5 Pro smartphone contains a 6000 mAh battery and supports fast charging with a capacity of 80 watts. Stereo speakers, NFC and ColorOS 15 operating system based on Android 15 are also reported.

Oppo A5 Pro comes in four configurations:

  • 8 GB/256 GB – $275
  • 8 GB/512 GB – $300
  • 12 GB/256 GB – $300
  • 12 GB/512 GB – $340.

Sales will start on December 27.
