AMD has officially confirmed that the new Radeon RX 9070 series of graphics cards will be unveiled on February 28. The presentation will be held online.

AMD will finally reveal all the cards about its new RDNA 4 GPU architecture. David McAfee, corporate vice president and general manager of AMD, confirmed that the presentation will take place on February 28 and will be broadcast on YouTube.

The event is expected to reveal the full specifications, prices, and performance details of the new graphics cards, which AMD did not announce at CES 2025. This announcement comes just a few hours after NVIDIA confirms launch dates for its RTX 5070 series, which suggests that AMD was probably waiting for NVIDIA’s move.

AMD even adjusted its naming scheme to match NVIDIA’s. The new RX 9070 series is expected to compete directly with the RTX 5070 series.

At the same time, AMD denied rumors that the Radeon RX 9070 XT could get 32 GB of video memory. Frank Azor, AMD’s chief architect of gaming solutions, commented on the relevant publication in X (formerly Twitter). He succinctly noted: «No, the 9070 XT card will not come with 32 GB».

AMD has previously stated that RDNA 4 deserves its own event, and it looks like this promise will be fulfilled. The February 28th product launch means that the cards will be unveiled a week and a day after the RTX 5070 Ti launch. Sales will start in March.
