Without a loud presentation, Realme has quietly added a new smartphone, the Realme 14 Pro+, to its Realme China online store. Its global release is scheduled for January 16.
The Realme 14 Pro+ has a 6.83-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800×1272 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel has a peak brightness of 1500 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Realme has added a fingerprint scanner under the display.
The novelty is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. The device has 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal storage. The smartphone offers a 6000 mAh battery with 80W charging support. The 14 Pro+ is IP68/IP69 dust and water resistant, and the Gilded White variant has a back panel that changes color depending on the temperature. The back panel shows bright blue hues when the temperature drops to 16°C or below, as shown in the video below.
The Realme 14 Pro+ smartphone has an interesting camera configuration. It has a 50-megapixel main module with a 1/1.56-inch IMX896 sensor with optical image stabilization. The camera is capable of 2x digital zoom without loss of quality. There is also a 50-megapixel periscopic telephoto module with a 1/2-inch IMX882 sensor, 3x zoom and optical image stabilization. There is also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module. The camera is complemented by a triple LED flash called «MagicGlow». Each LED has a different color temperature, which, when combined with the camera, allows for more natural lighting in your pictures. For self-portraits, there’s a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
Realme 14 Pro+ is available in Sea Rock Grey and Gilded White colors. Prices in China start at 2599 yuan ($355) for the 12/256 GB version and reach 2799 yuan ($380) for the 12/512 GB version.
