Approximately 710 thousand Ukrainians liable for military service were mistakenly displayed in the «Reserve+» application as wanted persons. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko.
She noted that these people learned about their «wanted list after installing the app. This problem has now been resolved. In total, about 3.5 million people have already updated their data through «Reserve+».
It has also become known that the Ministry of Defense is working to make the process of military registration also available through the «Reserve+» application. This function is planned to be transferred to electronic form in 2025, which will reduce the number of visits to the military registration and long queues.
«In 2025, we want to launch an opportunity not to go to the TCC and present your paper identity documents, but to make it possible through, for example, verification in Bank ID, through confirmation of documents from the State Migration Service, the Unified State Demographic Register,» she explained.
The goal of this project is to provide an opportunity to register via smartphone from any convenient location, making «Reserve+» a full-fledged alternative to the TPP. Relevant work is currently underway, but to complete the project, changes to the legislation are required.
Another new feature that will appear in the app in the future is the signing of a contract with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
«We have already started working on this, and I think that within a few months everyone who wants to join the ranks of the Armed Forces or other defense forces will be able to do so right in their smartphone,» Kateryna Chernogorenko added.
At the same time, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov noted that this is not a question of disbanding the TCC.
