Published by Andrii Rusanov

The first patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl 2025 has already been released, and it, (hopefully) finally fixes the shader compilation, as well as some other things that interfere with gameplay.

“The battle with shader compilation was one of the toughest for all of us lately. Please, if you still have issues with shader compilation after the patch — inform our Technical Support team. They can also be notified about various bugs and ‘anomalies’ that shouldn’t exist in the Zone,” — writes GSC Game World on Steam.

Patch S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl 1.1.4 again focuses on fixes that hinder comfortable gameplay, namely performance drops and crashes. In the official list:

  • Fixed hangs and crashes on shader compilation
  • Fixed memory leaks in “Rostok”
  • Fixed performance drop during shooting/aiming in saves during long play
  • Fixes that are supposed to solve the problem of losing saves on Xbox
  • Fixed crash during interaction with UI

In the official X account, the developers report: “This is the first update of this year, and the next big patch will be released soon.” They thank for the feedback and support and say that they will soon be “ready to share with you another interesting piece of information.”
