The developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl have shown a new trailer about the game’s weapon mechanics and survival.
An important mechanic of the game will be «bookmarks» (Dashes) — caches with weapons and equipment left by other stalkers. The developers have paid special attention to the system of wear and repair of weapons — maintaining equipment in good condition will be critical for survival in the Zone.
Players will be able to upgrade their weapons with various modules found during their travels. For an additional fee, technicians will be able not only to repair but also to improve equipment in accordance with the style of play.
The trailer pays special attention to realistic ballistics — each weapon has its own shooting characteristics, and its effectiveness directly depends on the distance of the battle and the type of enemy armor.
As a reminder, «S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: The Heart of Chernobyl» is released on November 20 — PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X/S, and will be available immediately on Game Pass.
