GSC Game World has released update 1.3.2 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl — fewer bugs in missions.
The patch was available for pre-download a few days ago, and now it’s officially available on Steam. The main focus of the patch is to fix bugs that prevented you from completing both the main and side missions. There are several important items among them.
There are spoilers in the news — below are the specific missions and scenes that were problematic
Plot and missions
- In the mission «The Last Push», we fixed a bug that could cause doors and tunnels to be closed, blocking progress.
- In «Dawn of a New Day», Stapel and Star no longer appear dead before the events of the mission, and Sergeant Ivailov’s marker correctly points to the target.
- In the mission «On the Verge» NPC in the Forest, the characters now correctly reach the location of the final scene, so the mission does not freeze.
- In «Minor Incident», the dialog with Professor Ozersky is now guaranteed to work even if the player killed Spark.
- During the mission «Answers are Expensive», two things have been fixed: the quest does not freeze if the player first retreated during the attack on the Depot and then looted Chernozem. And the second: the marker now points to the correct location.
Technical fixes
- NPCs use flashlights — now they can see the player in the dark.
- Fixed a bug that prevented NPCs from moving into an area that was out of the player’s view — it blocked several missions.
- In the mission «Images of Absolute Truth», the dialog with Scar is now guaranteed to start.
- In «Last Preparations», two problems with Korshunov were solved at once — he no longer disappears after the cutscene and does not slide into the elevator.
The patch has addressed critical issues that could have broken the gameplay. GSC continues to stabilize the game after the release of — and although this is not all, but the studio is moving in the right direction. A day earlier, GSC announced plans for the next three months: improving the game, AI characters, and even is a next-gen update of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy.
