Ahead of CES 2025, Samsung has announced several new monitors featuring some cool tech.

Samsung Odyssey G6 (G60SF) with a QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440) is claimed by the company to be the world’s first OLED monitor with a 500 Hz refresh rate. The Odyssey G8 (G81SF) features a 27” diagonal and 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) with a 240 Hz refresh rate.

Both monitors boast an instant response time of 0.03 ms. They support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync adaptive refresh rates. HDR 400 True Black technology delivers rich dark colors, while OLED Glare Free reduces reflections and glare.

Thanks to a lens attached to the front of the panel and a stereo camera, the Samsung Odyssey 3D (G90XF) 27” display offers glasses-free 3D imaging. If there’s no 3D content, it can use AI to analyze and convert 2D videos.

Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF) is equipped with AI features that “enhance entertainment and interactivity through intelligent image adaptation and search functions.” The 32” OLED monitor with 4K resolution also supports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400.

AI Picture Optimizer analyzes the input signal to determine the type of content (games, movies, etc.) and automatically adjusts the display for better image perception. AI Upscaling Pro uses a neural network to upscale low-resolution content to 4K. It’s like NVIDIA DLSS, but works from the monitor side with any content.

The ViewFinity S8 (S80UD) model is a large 37” 4K 16:9 monitor, claimed to be optimized for productivity. With no mention of OLED for this model, it presumably features an IPS display with 99% sRGB color coverage. It’s equipped with a KVM switch to work with multiple devices using a single mouse and keyboard set, and a 90W USB Type-C port for device charging.
